Communication Outlets

  • Communications with the community (external communications) and with district employees (internal communications) are major focuses of the Sherman ISD Communications Department. The Communications Department serves both internal and external constituents with a variety of communications tools.

    Social Media-Follow and like the district's social media channels to stay connected.

    Website -Visit our district and campus websites for timely information and campus events.

    Newsletters - The Communications Department curates and distributes information in four newsletters: The Bearcat Connect Parent newsletter, the Staff In the Know internal newsletter, SISD Daily and SISD Weekly.

    Publications - The Communications Department oversees the creation and distribution of a variety of publications for the district, including brochures, flyers, and advertising.

    Press Releases/Media Calls – It is the goal of Sherman ISD Communications Department to work closely and effectively with local and regional media.

    Video Production -The Communications Department oversees the production and editing of videos used internally and externally to publicize and promote district initiatives and accomplishments.

    Photography – Photographs of student accomplishments, events, staff recognitions, facilities and district-related items are taken, edited and shared by the Communications Department.

    Graphic Design - Brochures, flyers, letters, and pamphlets are written, edited and/or designed to explain and promote various programs and events throughout the district.

    SISD Connect - We utilize SISD Connect to inform parents of campus events, specific school information and emergency notifications. Parents will automatically opt-in during student enrollment. If at any time you would like to stop receiving these messages, text, and calls, you can text STOP to 23177. Please note that opting out of this service will prevent you from receiving any emergency notifications from our district. If you have previously enrolled and are not receiving messages, you can text the number 1222123 to 23177 to opt back in at any time.
