Hello Washington Tigers!

My name is Adela Soriano. I am so excited to be at part of the Washington family.

I graduated from John Brown University, Siloam Springs Arkansas in 2005, with a Bachelor Degree in Family and Human Services and a minor in Psychology. I obtain my teaching certificate from an Alternative Program Texas Teachers in 2008. I have the privileged of teaching Pre-Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and now Kindergarten. I have been teaching for 10 years as a Bilingual teacher. My certification is Generalist (EC-4) and Bilingual Education Supplemental-Spanish Grades (EC-4). Before working for the school system, I had worked for several different non-profit agencies.

I was born in Mexico but raised in South Texas; The Rio Grande Valley. I had lived in different states (Arkansas, Florida, and Georgia) before moving back to Texas. I have lived in Denison for the past 13 years.

Things that I love: I have been happily married with my wonderful husband Elias for 28 years. I have 3 beautiful daughters Carmen, Priscilla, and Nydia. I am blessed with 3 precious grandchildren Antonio, Alexia, and Wayne. I enjoy taking our grandchildren to amusements parks and eating out. Other things I like to do is visiting the museums, family road trips, and visiting extended family.

I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them have the best Kindergarten year full of joy, accomplishments, growth, and sweet memories.
