Ms. Deloris Dowell
I am so excited for the new school year to begin. It is an honor to be the principal of Fred Douglass Early Childhood Center. You will find that our campus is a place to learn through play! We are building the foundation of our youngest learners.
I would ask that you use Seesaw to connect with your child's teacher and see all the great things happening in their classroom. We also have a Facebook page we post on daily.
Family engagement is a huge part of Fred Douglass. It begins with Meet the Teacher, Home Visits and will continue with many events throughout the year!
Staff have been preparing for you to come to school soon. We are excited to play as we learn about how to do school. This is many of our students' first time in school. We are working to build a foundation for the future. We will focus on social, emotional and cognitive development every day.
Our theme this year is - "Watch Us Soar!" I am always amazed at the progress our students make from the first day of school to the last day! I am excited for the year ahead!
To stay up-to-date on all the happenings here at FDECC be sure to have an updated cell phone number and email address on file to receive information through our messaging system.
We look forward to partnering with you to make this year successful for your child!
