The SISD Curriculum and Instruction Department and the SISD Athletic Department are teaming up to once again provide the highly successful multi-sports camps to SISD and Sherman private school students who will be promoting to grades 3-9. The objectives of the camps are to encourage student interest in sports and physical exercise, introduce basic fundamentals, demonstrate proper technique, teach sportsmanship, and also stress character values associated with sports competition. Camp dates and sports are: |
June 9-10: Football/ Girls’ SoftballJune 11-12: Baseball/ Volleyball June 16-17: Boys’ Basketball/ Girls’ Tennis June 18-19: Girls’ Basketball/ Boys’ Tennis July 7-8: Girls’ Soccer/ Boys’ Golf July 9-10: Boys’ Soccer/ Girls’ Golf |
| The camps are free to all participants and will be held in SISD
gyms and fields. Participants can pre-register through May 19, 2008. Registration forms
are also available at each elementary school, Dillingham, Piner, and SHS. Participants can
also enroll on the first day of the camps by arriving 30 minutes prior to the start of the
camps. The location for enrollment will be the Bearcat multi-purpose facility located
north of the main Sherman High School building. *Please note that students may choose to participate in one or more sports if so desired. For
