Sherman ISD students with visual impairments
annually participate in:
1). Technology Olympics hosted by Region 10 Education Service
Center. The Technology Olympics is designed to provide students in first through
twelfth grades the opportunity to compete using the latest technology equipment available
for blind and visually impaired individuals. The event allows students the

effectively at their individual skill levels. Trophies and ribbons are presented for
student achievement and individual equipment set-up is recognized. In addition to
skill building, students also benefit from the opportunity to socialize with peers.
