Sherman High
School held their annual homecoming festivities last week including a parade, themed
dress-up days, the Homecoming Revue production, the crowning of the homecoming queen and
king and finally, the homecoming dance. This years leadership class chose to add a
new event the election of a homecoming king. We were not sure if it would go
over," shared SHS student body president Jordan Hancock, "but it has been a hit
with just about everyone. Some of the guys have liked the attention! When king
nominee Geoff Hooker was asked his opinion on the matter, he said, I think my mom
has had a lot of fun with this, and I have, too, but my focus is winning the game more
than winning the crown! And that is similar to what Coach Kinne shared, The
football players who were nominated have had a good time with this, but most of all we are
fired up to win the football game! Top left: Homecoming nominees Megan and Jarred
