Ninth grade students are treated to a half day of school on the Friday before school begins. This is a way for them to learn their way around the school before the sophomores, juniors, and seniors enter the scene. They are given a tour of the school, information on extra-curricular organizations they can join, they receive refreshments, and most fun of all, have a pep rally and skits.
