Last week was Celebrate Freedom week. Wakefield fourth grade students analyzed the words to the Pledge of Allegiance and became more familiar with the rights and freedoms granted by our constitution and bill of rights. Hometown soldier, Pvt. Tyler Lewis, visited the classroom to tell his story of serving our country in the United States military. Several students commented that they now better understand why freedom is worth fighting for and are so thankful for soldiers like Pvt. Lewis who protect our country.
