Sherman ISD appreciates the generosity of American Bank of Texas for funding several elementary school projects. According to marketing director Ginger Nye, they sent letters and grant request forms to all the elementary schools. As the forms were returned, they chose five to receive a $300 grant for completion of the requested projects. The winning projects include student success groups, music programming, Go Bags, an animal habitat, and kindergarten cooking experiences. Gathered in the American Bank lobby after receiving project funds are Al Hambrick, Joann Miller, Amy Elliott, Linda Woytasczyk, DeAn Jeffrey, John Hubbert, Lori Hartman, Linda Salinas, Katie Flippin, and Tyson Bennett.
