The Klown Safety News Network
visited Perrin Elementary School last week, causing learning and laughter to take place in
the gymnasium. Klown members Blaze, Cuffs, Matches, Trucky, and Booster made the students
aware of several dangerous situations and how to be prepared to act in an emergency. With
our flooding last summer, it was good for students to learn, Turn around, Dont
Drown, because rising water moves fast and forcefully. 911 information and what
items to avoid due to the possibility of choking were presented in skit form capturing the
attention of each student. Principal Linda Salinas offers a Perrin Jets thank you to these
full-time firemen and policemen who take time out of their day to travel to all the
elementary schools in the SISD sharing these very important lessons with our students.
Shown here are Klowns Trucky, Blaze and Cuffs cheering for Perrin students, Chad, Rebecca,
and Alexis, during a safety quiz contest.
