Shown here are Ryan Kelly, and
Ryan Criswell as they cook the hotdogs for Fairviews annual Focus on Fathers event.
Waiting patiently for their hot dogs are Jadazia Brown and Dyson Dillard. We love
our Fairview fathers and use this annual cookout to show them our appreciation,
explained PTA president Barbara Collins. Families filled the cafeteria to chow down on
hotdogs and all the trimmings and hear testimonies from four Fairview fathers on the
importance of fatherhood. Four Fairview fathers shared with the crowd what it meant to be
a father. Kerry Tiner (father of two students at Fairview) kicked off the program and he
was followed by Master Sgt. Christopher Holder (father of two students at Fairview).
Master Sgt. Christopher Holder has been deployed twice to Iraq. He talked about how good
it is to be home and see his children each day. Tom Fair (father of one student at
Fairview) and Mr. Cruz Acosta (father of one Fairview student and one former Fairview
student) also spoke about his special feeling of pride in fatherhood. Thank you to all
fathers who participated in this program.
