Sherman ISD congratulates the
members and initiates of the Sherman High School chapter of the National Honor Society.
The induction and officer installation was held in April with 2007-2008 president Larry
Schores presiding. Membership in National Honor Society has been earned by the
effective demonstration of the four qualities held high in the esteem of the Society.
These qualities are scholarship, service, leadership, and character. With the
assistance of SHS principal Thomas ONeal, senior members received the NHS seal to be
placed on their diploma and gold honor cords to wear during graduation exercises on June
7. During the reception immediately following the officer installation, exceptional
entertainment was provided by the incredible SHS Jazz Band, under the direction of Scott
Anderson. Shown here are the 2008-2009 NHS officers: President-Ross Little, Secretary-Sara
Hansard, Vice President-Kelsi Burnett, and Treasurer-Andrew Coulter. National Honor
Society sponsor is Martha Little.
