The state DECA competition (career development program for marketing students) was held in March in Corpus Christi. Two Sherman High School seniors, Jessica Farmer and Nina Brockman, placed first in their section and secured themselves a spot to compete at the International Career Development event in Atlanta, Georgia. The event took place in April. Farmer and Brockman attended the event and competed with 14, 000 students from across the US, Germany, Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
