The 2007-2008 Sherman High
School Bearcat basketball team was honored at the March school board meeting. Winning
second in district, with a record of 25-9, Coaches McCullough, Kirkland, and Green coached
their fine players all the way to the regional quarterfinals a feat not
accomplished since 1953. Wow! Senior, Brad Hambrick was chosen District 5-4A Most Valuable
Player for the second year in a row, an All-Region performer, and he was also selected to
the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State team which is a rare honor. Other
players receiving honors include Cameron Clark, first team all-district, Andrew Dick,
second team all-district, and Andre Bryant, district all-defensive team. Congratulations
to the coaches and this entire team of well-disciplined, successful basketball players.
