Erica Morris’ class at Fairview presented: The Living Museum, Texas Struggles for Independence during the last week of school. Led by a tour guide, guests followed Texas history beginning with Mexico’s independence and then the Battles of Alamo, Goliad, San Jacinto, and finally the annexation into the United States of America. Guests were amazed at the amount of knowledge memorized by the actors and the authenticity of props and costumes. All students researched battles and people, wrote their reports, and created backdrops specific to their event.
