Kindergarten students Jacob
Cameron and Dylan Black are sharpening their computer skills during a technology class at
Perrin Elementary. Technology teacher Beth Weeks informs us that kindergarten students can
and should learn as much about computers as possible. "Today, we are working in a Tux
Paint program which helps students tune their fine motor skills and increase manual
dexterity. Through an online program called Learning.com, we are practicing logging in and
learning the placement of letters on the keyboard. I am always amazed and excited at the
amount of computer knowledge young children can grasp."
