SISD Policy Online

The Board of Trustees meets in regular session on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at designated district sites. Board members are elected to three-year terms with elections being held annually on the first Saturday of May.

According to the Texas Open Meetings Law, board meetings must be open to the public except under specific circumstances. The board may move into closed session to discuss personnel matters and real estate transactions, obtain legal counsel from the school attorney, or conduct hearings.

Notice of regular and called meetings is posted three days in advance of scheduled meetings at the Sherman ISD Administration Building, 120 W. King, with local news media, and on the SISD Website.
