David Kennedy
Sherman School Board Member

David is owner and sole attorney with the Law Office of David M. Kennedy, P.C.  David is a life-long resident of Sherman, and was a 1975 graduate of SISD.  He and his wife, Terri, have 3 children, Lindsay, Adam, and Jessica, all of who graduated SISD and are now in college.  Terri taught special education for SISD.

After graduation, David attended and graduated from Grayson County Community College, North Texas State University (B.B.A.), and obtained his juris doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio.  For the past several years, David’s law practice has been primarily a multi-state representation of injured nursing home residents.  He is a Board Certified Personal Injury and Civil Trial Specialist, and was named a Texas Super Lawyer for 2006 and 2007 by Law and Politics and Texas Monthly magazines.   David is a frequent lecturer to the legal profession on trial-related matters.

David was first elected to the Board of Trustees in 1999, and served as President in 2005-2006.   He is also a member of the Sherman Ex-Students Association and Sherman Athletic Booster Club.
