Peggy Savage is the Freshman Counselor here at Sherman
High. She has been here for 4 years. She previously taught in Oklahoma for 16 years as an
English teacher. Mrs. Savage is orginally from Oklahoma and graduated from Calera High.
She attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She became a counselor
because she wanted to help students. When asked why she chose teaching as a career, she
replied "The small school I attended did not have a counselor for any guidance. I was
so lost after graduating. I wanted to help others prepare better." When asked if she
could teach anything anywhere she answered "I am quite content here at Sherman
High." Mrs. Savage is married, with 15 year old boy-girl twins. Mrs. Savage is also
very involved in her church. |
