September Teacher of the Month....

Anna Hinkle

Congratulations to Mrs. Anna Hinkle for being selected as September's Teacher of the Month from KMKT.

Mrs. Hinkle has been teaching for a total of 38 years, 28 of those years with Sherman. Mrs. Hinkle spent four years teaching in Pennsylvania. She has taught 2nd grade and 4th grade and even did a short stint as a librarian. She came to Sherman and taught Title 7 Reading at Crutchfield and Piner. Mrs. Hinkle has previously taught English for Sherman high, and now teaches Latin 1-5.

Mrs. Hinkle has two daughters and four grandchildren. Her oldest grandchild is a freshman at Texas A&M, while her youngest is in first grade in Denton.

"Mrs. Hinkle works as hard as anyone we have here at SHS, and this honor is very well deserved. As a monthly winner, she will also become a candidate for the KMKT/KMAD Teacher of the Year, an honor that will be selected in late April of this 09-10 school year." ~ Peggy Van Marter
