Student Technology Applications
Fourth Grade

The fourth grade year provides opportunities for children to:

  • Insert, resize, and alter (i.e. color, group, ungroup, rotate) a graphic to illustrate a story or concept.
  • Create and edit a report using a word processor. Cite a source for given reference material, use spell check, modify the text format, align text on a page, use insert and delete keys, and use tab key to indent for paragraphs.
  • Create a multimedia project, which includes elements such as sound, transition, effect, and animation.
  • Use proper keyboarding techniques for all alpha keys and increase accuracy.

Standard I: Recognize, evaluate, and select appropriate hardware/software.
