Alumni Log Comments from the Class of 1965

I've been in California since 1971. I love this place. Just an hour from Yosemite and two from the pacific coast. I've been married to Gail for 37 years. We have three children and five grandchildren. I have been made busy teaching college, pastoring a church of great people, and writing books. Man!...would I love to see everybody and catch up on all we've missed while apart all these years!

I'm living in Denton as of March of 2003. I retired from the Texas Dept. of Human Services 3 years ago and love retirement! I recently remarried after being single for 14 years. I have two wonderful daughters, Shannon who is 36 and Stephanie who is 32, a great son-in-law and the Most precious grandson, Alex, in the world. My husband, Larry, works for J.C.Penney's in the corporate office in Plano. After moving to Denton, I decided to participate in an old passion, acting. I tried out for a part in "Steel Magnolias" at the Denton Community Theatre, and got the part of "Ouiser". Some say I did not have to "act" very hard! It was great fun and I plan to continue participating whenever possible. I would love to hear from my former classmates.

Who knew? I stopped in to visit a co-worker about her plans for the Thanksgiving holidays. She mentioned that her father would be visiting from Sherman. Much to our surprise we both grew up in Sherman, graduated in 1965, and were both members of the Sherman Hi-Steppers. Sandra Swanner Robbins and I work in the Legal Department at Alcatel and have been sitting two offices apart for the past several months. Needless to say, we've changed!
