I will retire from the the Texas Department of Health
later this year after 23 years of service. I worked in the Crippled Children's Program as
a secretary in 1979. From 1981-1989 I was a draftsman for the Bureau of Radiation Control.
I then worked for the Associateship of Family Health. For the last 9 years I have been an
information specialist with the Texas WIC program, developing educational and promotional
materials for the Bureau of Nutrition Services, Breastfeeding Promotion Section.

graduated in 1962 in Alaska. I have lost contact with people I grew up with and went to
school with.

I teach five levels of AP (Advanced Placement) Spanish,
sponsor the Spanish Club & Student Council, & serve on staff for one of the Texas
Association of Student Councils' Summer Leadership Workshops. I plan to retire in 5 more
years, do some traveling, and just enjoy living in the country (when the new house gets
built).

Gil Alexander (62) married Marilyn Miller
(63): still together after 39 years. Alexanders currently co-direct the Montana
Science Institute just outside Helena, Montana, after retiring as science
teachers at Helenas two high schools. Both are still active in the science community
with both on the Board of Directors of the Montana Academy of Sciences, where Gil was
recently elected Executive Director.
During the summers, Alexanders offer science courses for students (K-12) and teacher
recertification courses through the University of Montana where Gil is an Adjunct
Professor. They also offer Elderhostel courses based on natural history subjects and the
Lewis and Clark Expedition.

My 35th wedding anniversary is this Sunday, August 5. Of
our 35 years together, we have spent 27 of them in Bakersfield. For our anniversary we
took a trip to Belgium for 2 weeks.

I joined the army following high school and served in
Vietnam from 1963-1964. I graduated from Texas A & M University in 1970 with a degree
in Agricultural Education and a minor in Biology. I
receieved my Masters of Education from SFA University in 1973. I taught agricultural
education for 28 years. 22 years in Texas and 6 years in Oklahoma. I was named Outstanding
Agricultural Education Teacher of the year twice in Texas and once in Oklahoma. Two years ago, my wife ( Patina ) and I went to the
Ukraine and adopted two, three year old boys. Their names are Jim and Glenn. Jim will turn
six this March and Glenn will turn six in September. I now teach U.S. History, World
History and wood shop in the Reagan County High School ISD.in Big Lake, Texas. I am the Service Officer of The American Legion Roy
Rose Post 253 in Big Lake,Texas.

Cardwell born in 1965, and Tom III, born in 1976. Three granddogs. Started a recruiting
firm in 1990 that specializes in recruiting medical and pharmaceutical salespeople.

Married to Karen (Gannon) Elrod, we have three daughters,
Lauren, Mandy, and Julie, and three grandkids, Darren 15, Dalen 11, and Lizzie 3. Karen
and I work together in our engraving business. We engrave jewelry, rings, silver, and gold
items. We enjoy the flexibility of working at home, and making our own choices. I am
retired from Lockheed/Martin Aerospace, Ft. Worth.
