Greetings, classmates of '61. Soooo sorry to have missed
the Reunion - and I can't come for the get-together in October '04 at Lake Texoma. I WILL
make it to some subsequent gathering, this I vow. I was there ONLY for our senior year,
but I remember a few people fondly and other names are way familiar....
I have lived and worked in Honoluu, HI since 9/71; I have been a clinical (professional
counseling) social worker (now "supervisor") for many years, providing
individual, marital, family and group therapy and teaching classes, etc. Lotsa
"people" work! Best wishes!

My life has been very interesting. I love living in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am single and have been for some time. I have one grown son,
36, who lives in Florida. I still have very long hair and finally recovered from the
chronic heart condition I was stricken with while attending the Class of '60. I wish I was
considered to have been in BOTH classes of '60 and '61. I attended only one reunion of
class of '61, the 10th I believe. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.

Hi all! After high school, I went to college, a couple of
years, & then moved out to Las Vegas, NV. I was in the hotel business for 3 yrs. &
then insurance for 4 years beore moving to Hawaii. I lived on Oahu, working at the
Hilton-Hawaiian Village, for 1 1/2 yrs. I, then moved to Maui where I worked at the
Sheraton-Maui for 5 yrs. Sheraton transfered me to L.A. where I stayed for 2 yrs, then
moving to tucson, AZ, in 1980, where I've been since. I'm back in the insurance business,
involved with community affairs such as The Copper Bowl/Insight.com Bowl, Michael Landon
Tennis Classics, Tucson Rodeo, Optimists International & other civic organizations. I
was really looking forward to the reunion, in 1981(since you couldn't find me before
then-ha) but it was canceled due to lack of participation(sigh). I'm looking forward to
this yrs(2001)-let's all participate & make sure it doesn't get canceled. Looking
forward to seeing all of you & the best of luck to you.

After graduation my husband and I had 2 sons and a
daughter. We lived in Sherman for 9 years, until my husband was transfered with his job at
IBM to Houston. We lived there 5 years, before moving to Fort Worth. Our middle child
(son) died in 1978 from Muscular Dystrophy. Our remaining son & daughter are both
living here close by and have blessed us with 6 grandchildren. I have basicly been a
homemaker most of my married life. My husband Jerry Griffith (class of 1958) worked for
IBM for 30 years. Retired, opened his own construction business for 8 years, then retired
again. The last 10 years we have served as Missionaries with the North American Mission
Board, by helping to distribute food and clothing to the poor and needy in our community.

Have been married 40 years with 3 children and 5
grandchildren. Enjoy being with my grandchildren as often as I can. My husband retired in
1999 from Folger Coffee after 20 years. I am planning to retire in 4 years. Attended the
2001 class reunion and vowed never to miss another one. The reunion committee did an
excellent job in planning/executing especially Toni Seaver who headed the committee. My
hat's off to them. It was so enjoyable and rewarding.

Married for 28 years to Susan Hunter of Avon, IL. Two daughters, Kate, an
elementary school reading specialist in the Chicago suburbs, and Jessica, a junior music
performance major at Illinois Wesleyan University. Because of Jessica, I was given the
award for having the youngest child of a member of the Class of '61 at our reunion in the
late '80's. It's hell being old and still paying tuition, room and board! Greetings to all
'61 alums, especially my Austin College roommate, John Self!
